Interesting Sites at Hanuman Dhoka Durbar Square


Hanuman Dhoka Durbar Square has very interesting sites such as the Taleju Temple that was built by King Mahendra in the 15th century. There is also the enormous figure of Kal Bhairav who is known as the god of destruction. The Hanuman Dhoka Durbar Square also has the Basantpur Durbar that was erected by the King Prithvi Narayan Shah. At the Hanuman Dhoka Durbar Square is the fabulous coronation platform where kings used to be coroneted also known as Nasal Chok. On the Hanuman Dhoka Durbar Square, you will also find the Hall of Public Audience which is also known as Gaddi Baithak and the representation of King Pratap Malla. The Big Bell and the Big Drum as well as the Jaganath Temple are also located at the Hanuman Dhoka Durbar Square.
